For car deliveries, the vehicle you use to deliver with Amazon Flex needs to be a mid-size (or larger) car with capacity of 5 seats or more. Cars with fewer than 5 seats are not eligible to be used for deliveries, with the exception of vans and/or enclosed bed pickup trucks (in order to protect parcels from weather). Cars can be used to deliver for Amazon Logistics, Amazon Fresh, and Sub-Same Day blocks.

For e-bike deliveries, you will need a battery-operated e-bike* that meets all applicable laws and safety requirements. E-bikes can be used to make Amazon Now deliveries.

As some pickups and deliveries may take you away from your vehicle for long periods of time, bringing passengers or pets, except for service animals, when delivering with Amazon Flex may not be a good idea. If you still decide to bring passengers, Amazon expects that you will comply with the following:

1. When picking up from an Amazon Logistics delivery station your passengers will have to remain in the vehicle at all times.

2. When picking up from Amazon Fresh, Morrisons, or other store locations, your passengers will not be allowed to enter the delivery station, or the restricted pick-up areas in the stores. This may mean that the passenger will have to remain in the car or in the car park. Pick-up and delivery times may vary and your passengers or pets may be in the car or car park for longer than anticipated.

3. Your vehicle must have enough space to safely accommodate any passenger or pet and all parcels assigned to your block.

4. Passengers and pets, except for service animals, must not have any interaction with customers. They cannot accompany you when you deliver parcels to Amazon customers.

5. Passengers must not drive the vehicle while you’re delivering for Amazon Flex.

Non-compliance with these requirements may affect your eligibility to participate in the Amazon Flex programme.

Earnings estimates are based on delivering a number of packages across an estimated length of time (referred to as a block), completed while driving a standard motorized vehicle or riding an e-bike. Deliveries are scheduled so that they can be safely completed within the allocated block time, taking into account factors such as weather and road conditions. However, the actual time taken per delivery may vary (because it could, occasionally, take less or more time than expected) so the earnings per hour may vary. Should Amazon Flex introduce blocks eligible to be delivered using scooters or other alternative modes of transportation, different rates may apply.

Delivery partners are paid on Wednesdays for all deliveries made during the previous seven days. Amazon Flex sends a remittance email after the payment transfer is initiated, and most delivery partners see payment in their bank account within 2 hours after receiving this email. Sometimes payments can take longer, such as if the transfer is made outside normal working hours.
