We understand that sometimes you want to accept an offer but you’re unsure whether you can make it. Delivering with Flex offers the freedom and flexibility to substitute blocks to someone you know who meets the eligibility requirements, even if they are not already registered with Amazon Flex.
It can take 3-10 days for a Substitute to complete the Amazon Flex registration process. If you’re already a delivery partner, you can get people you know to complete the Substitute registration process now so that they are ready when you need them! To get started, click the substitute button on any accepted block and follow the in-app guidance.

Maximise your earnings potential
Whatever your situation, Amazon Flex can offer you the freedom and flexibility to be your own boss and to earn extra money. This includes being able to ask someone else, your 'Substitute', to make deliveries on your behalf in advance and up to 65 minutes before the block starts, if your plans happen to change.
If you substitute a block, Amazon Flex will still pay you for the completed block and it is your responsibility to pay your Substitute for their delivery services at any rate you agree with them, based on the services they provide. You’re also still fully responsible for the reliability and delivery quality of the block, regardless if the block is delivered by either you or your Substitute.

Find out if they’re eligible
You must ensure that any Substitute you use meets the following basic requirements:
1. Have a valid, full UK Driving Licence and be aged over 18.
2: Have a valid UK National Insurance number.
3. Have the right to work in the UK for self-employed purposes.
4. Pass a basic criminal background check.
5. Not have had an Amazon Flex or Amazon account deactivated in the past.
You can substitute your block at the tap of a button in the Amazon Flex app. Simply open an offer and choose ‘Substitute block’.
